The clinic focuses mainly on primary health care and particularly:

HEALTH CARE


Health Care is a key to progress in Africa. We are building and equipping clinics and support their operation.

  • Provide basic medial and dental care services

  • Essential maternal and childhood care

  • Promote safe water use and improving nutrition

  • Teach life-saving and first aid skills to the people in the village

  • Run village workshops on adolescent health and counselling

  • Education and help for sexually transmitted infections including HIV/AIDS and reproductive health cancers (breast and cervical)

  • e Promote sexual and reproductive health awareness and family planning

  • Improve personal hygiene and promote healthy lifestyles

  • Encourage the construction and use of pit latrines in the village

  • Treatment of common diseases including fever, malaria, tuberculosis, joint pain, gastroenteritis, , parasite , respiratory diseases, infections and obstetrics

  • Help get serious and emergency cases to the city hospital in Iganga.

  • Encourage and help provide where possible balanced nutrition program for children and pregnant women with vitamin, protein and other nutrient

  • Basic education seminars

  • An effective program for polio, tetanus, diphtheria, hepatitis, cholera and other such diseases for our pilot village project

  • provide help to patients with serious illness , such as heart diseases, cancer, orthopedic , blood diseases, eye diseases and kidney diseases. The mobile clinic is in the process of the necessary equipment for such .

  • 24 hours/7 days - emergency service

    EDUCATION:


    Education will enable people in Busu village and other Rural areas of Uganda to break out of the poverty trap and enhance the quality of life for themselves and their communities.

    In most rural communities in Uganda like Busu Village, schools are often overlooked and chronically under-resourced. Suubi foundation has making its School Improvement Programme a priority.

    The programme consists of infrastructure assistance by constructing of classrooms, equipment, administration and offices, media centres vegetable gardens and other school support programmes, such as career guidance courses for students.
    Our infrastructure assistance includes the following:

    Building preschools and classrooms at the local school, we are developing a child sponsorship programme to help pay school fees to keep children in school, we are starting to conduct a vocational training and facilitate adult education programmes in the village.

    INCOME GENERATING ACTIVITIES:


    Unemployment in rural communities like Busu Village can be reduced by empowering local entrepreneurs, whose small busibnesses could be an effective means of job creation.
